A very rare cartridge in an even rarer rifle. 10.75X68 Mauser (aka .423 Mauser) was the most powerful of all the Mauser cartridges, and was very popular for hunting in African and India. Uses the same bullets as the .404 Jeffery. Almost always chambered in Mauser 98 rifles, this one is on a Springfield (wartime capture?), and has German proofs on the action. The bore is in beautiful shape, the stock, not so much. It is solid, though. Properly done magwell holds and feeds 3 rounds. I have the ejector removed right now, as it needs some polishing, and I don’t want my very valuable brass getting wrecked falling on the ground. Comes with 41 original Kynoch 400 grain solids, 57 Bertram brass (8 have been once-fired), and a new set of .404 Jeffery dies for neck sizing and loading. Weighs about 7 3/4 lbs. One standing and one folding sight leaves. Nice trigger.
